Lukas Jaburek is a leading Czech glass artist and designer who sensitively combines traditional craftsmanship with an original artistic approach and contemporary design. Until 2018, he worked as the Art Director of the prestigious Moser glassworks in Karlovy Vary, after which he set out on his own artistic journey. He returned to his native region of the Ore Mountains, where he revives the once-lost glassmaking traditions and gives them new life.
For his work, he has received numerous awards, including the Public Award at Czech Grand Design 2012.
Hand-blown vases crafted from a unique combination of uranium glass layered with blue. The distinctive gradient of blue evokes the approaching night, bringing with it a sense of mystery and mystique. Large cut facets complete the story of the night sky, beautifully reflecting and enhancing the light.
The Evening Star – Venus – appears as the first bright star after sunset, disappears during the night, and illuminates the sky again shortly before dawn. This is why it is known as both the Evening Star and the Morning Star. After the Sun and the Moon, Venus is the brightest object in the sky – a radiant presence designed to illuminate any interior.
