Portrait of Josef Mašín

At the turn of the year, Jiří Macht traveled to Santa Barbara, California, to create a portrait of Josef Mašín.

This event will result in an exhibition in collaboration with the luxury watch brand Robot, which will introduce a limited edition Josef Mašín watch. Each watch dial will be personally signed by Josef Mašín himself.

Jiří Macht will present a series of portraits and collages from the life of this famous Czech-born figure, portraying him in a way that many Czechs have never seen before.

Exhibition in Qatar

In May, Jiří Macht will travel to Qatar together with artist Marek Číhal under the curatorial leadership of Cyprian Fine Art.

Jiří Macht’s work is already represented in Qatar, including in the collection of one of the most influential figures there, His Highness, for whom Macht created a collage for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

He is greatly looking forward to this exceptional artistic event, although he is also concerned about the current situation in the Middle East.

Exhibition in Pardubice at the Grand Department Store in collaboration with Art Lines

At the beginning of summer, an exhibition will take place in the newly opened Grand shopping center by the famous architect Josef Gočár.

Jiří Macht has placed there his largest collage so far, measuring 450 × 720 cm, featuring Josef Gočár.

This collage is likely the largest author-created artwork installed in an interior in the Czech Republic. Near this portrait, seven meters above the ground, hang two large plexiglass spheres containing mirrored Haribo bears with a diameter of two meters.

Alongside these permanent installations, an exhibition with an opening reception will present a cross-section of the artist’s work to the city of Pardubice.

In the following month, Jiří Macht is looking forward to collaborating with what may be the best Italian restaurant in the Czech Republic. Large-format prints on canvas from his numerous travels across Italy will be placed on the walls.

For example, the men’s restroom will resemble a Neapolitan chapel dedicated to Diego Maradona.

Another installation will take place at Bistro Shoda in the Wilson Tennis Center in Modletice, where a 40-meter-long strip of stories from the world of tennis will run around the entire restaurant.

At the front of the restaurant hangs a large mirrored artwork with a tennis theme.

Automotive Jewels – April 24–25

One of the best automotive events in the Czech Republic will take place at the end of April at the Galerie Golf Hostivař golf course, where owners of rare vintage cars will present their automotive treasures.

For the third year in a row, Jiří Macht will present his automotive collages and offer visitors the opportunity to commission their own design, which he will showcase on his vintage BMW.

Happy Space IV Exhibition at the Letná Water Tower

Before the start of summer, the exhibition Happy Space IV will open at the Letná Water Tower.

Jiří Macht often presents himself as an exhibition curator, and at the Letná tower exhibition he will, for the fourth time, present several prominent contemporary artists.

The Happy Space IV exhibition will once again focus on good mood and a positive perception of the world.

Exhibition at Dobřichovice Castle

At the end of summer, Jiří Macht will once again present his work at Dobřichovice Castle, a place where he particularly enjoys exhibiting due to his personal connection to the town.

The exhibition will take place during the Wine Festival, when several thousand visitors typically attend. This is always very important for the artist because, as Jiří Macht says, exhibitions should be created for as many people as possible — that is the reason he makes them.
